A Soldier's Story: Sergeant Alan Brent Craver
Sergeant Alan Brent Craver was born on November 11, 1958, in Plum, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn Hills High School before enlisting in the US Army Reserves in 1983 and was assigned to the 14th Quartermaster. Sergeant Alan Craver graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1985 with a Bachelors's in Environmental Resource Management. He worked at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport as a safety officer until he was activated for Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield and the Gulf War with the 14th Quartermaster. He deployed to Saudi Arabia in 1990. On February 25, 1991, a scud missile hit the barracks housing his unit.
