A Marine's Story: Lance Corporal Scott Arthur Schroeder

 


Lance Corporal Scott Arthur Schroeder was born on December 17, 1970.  He attended Wauwatosa High School, playing soccer on the school team and graduating in 1989.  He enlisted in the US Marine Corps shortly following his high school graduation.

Lance Corporal Scott Arthur Schroeder was assigned to the 1st Light Reconnaissance Battalion and deployed to the Persian Gulf in the fall of 1990 in response to Desert Storm/Desert Shield and the Gulf War.  

On January 29, 1991, Lance Corporal Scott Arthur Schroeder died during his service when a mortar struck his armored vehicle.

He rests at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
