A Soldier's Story: Private First Class Cindy Deana Jane Bridges - Gulf War

 


Private First Class Cindy Deana Jane Bridges was born on September 15, 1970, in Chattanooga Tennessee.  While young, she moved to Decatur, Alabama, and attended Austin High School.  After graduation, she enlisted in the US Army and was assigned to the 260th Quartermaster Battalion as a driver. 

She deployed to Saudi Arabia in October 1990 in response to Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield and the Gulf War.

Private First Class Cindy "DJ" Bridges would die during her service on March 14, 1991, when her truck rolled, returning from a supply run.

She rests at the Roselawn Gardens of Memory in Decatur, Alabama.
